Equipment Pre-Check ALL Divisions:. will be conducted at the Range on dates to be determined

Interim Match Results:. will be progressively posted on a daily basis. Click on the Match Results tab in the navigation column.

Buses To Range:. will depart from the Two (2) primary match hotels at 0600hrs daily on shooting days. The complete bus schedule is printed in the official match booklet.

Hydration Reminder:. all participants are urged to hydrate themselves internally with bottled water or electrolyte drinks, and externally with cold towels, continually throughout the day while at the shooting range.

NOTE: All Hotel Reservations MUST go through the Match Organisers to get the rates quoted.

New UPDATES - 07/07/2010

UPDATE 23: Official Main Match Sponsor

The AustralAsia 2010 Organising committee would like to officially announce that CESKA ZBROJOVKA (CZ), have signed a sponsorship agreement to become the exclusive Official Main Match Sponsor for AustralAsia 2010.

The Committee expresses their deep appreciation to Ing. Jiri Skrabal, Mr. Milan Trkujla and Mr. Myro Lopez  for making this sponsorship possible.

CZ will also be sending some of their Official Teams Members to participate in the match.

UPDATE 22: RD Approval and Payments

To all competitors, if you see you name still on the Waiting List, this means that the organisers have yet to receive your full payment, or we have received payment but as YET your Regional Director, has not yet approved your participation is this match.

Please contact your RD and match sure they sign the RD Report which was sent to them on the 15/06/2010

There is still a vast majority of competitors registered whom have not fully paid up as yet for either match fees, hotel rooms or ammunition. July 15th is the absolute FINAL deadline for all payments, after which you will be removed from the match.

UPDATE 21: Official Match Shirt

Below is a picture of the Official AustralAsia 2010 Match Shirt, of which 1 (one), will be given free to each registered competitor whom competes at AA2010. Due to last minute change in logo the main match sponsor logo will be changed, all other logo's pictured remain unchanged.

Additional shirt will be available for sale at the match for USD$40.00. For those whom might want to have additional shirts please send an email to Match Shirts , stating Size and Quantity. Please also refer to this line for correct sizes.  Shirt Sizing Chart 

We have received samples of the shirt and the sizing is 100% Ashworth US Sizing.

PREVIOUS UPDATES - 28/05/2010

UPDATE 20: MOS Online Registration closes 30th May

The MOS online Registration System will close on 30th May to any further registrations with no exceptions.

After registration has closed, each RD will receive a list competitors whom have registered from their region to approve and signoff on. After we have received this confirmation and have received payment, Competitors will be transferred from the Waiting List to the Match List.

UPDATE 19: Discounted Airfares

Due to logistical and handling problems, the Organisers wish to advise we have been unable to get any discount on Airfares, for competitors participating AustralAsia 2010.

The Organisers are however still negotiating for waiver of excess baggage fees for all Competitors registered for AustralAsia 2010.

PREVIOUS UPDATES - 25/05/2010

UPDATE 18: Final Match Registration

All competitors please note, Final Match Registration, Equipment Check, Ammunition Collection, will all be done at the range from the 16th to 17th October.

The Range will be closed on Monday 18th, this is to facilitate the preparation of the range for the Main Match starting 19th October.

Transport will be provided from Official Hotels to the Range on the 15th - 16th for Match Registration.

We therefore ask all those competitors whom have made arrangements to arrive in Johor on the 17th, to allow sufficient time for Hotel Check IN and Match Registration at the Range.

UPDATE 17: HOTEL Bookings

As some will have noticed, two(2) of the room types for the Grand Paragon Hotel, have been sold out. The organisers had been trying to get the hotel to release more of these rooms for sale.

However some competitors contacting the hotel directly and asking if more of these rooms are available and were told yes, but not at the organisers rates.

So due to this unfortunate incident of competitors trying to bypass the organisers, the hotel now see's a higher demand for these room types, during the period of the match and will not release any more to the organisers for sale at the discounted prices.

UPDATE 16: New HOTEL Room Options

Due to many requests for family rooms or for rooms capable of sleeping 2 or more, we have managed to get a limited number of 2 Bedroom Suites and Quad Rooms at the Grand Paragon and 1 Bedroom Club Suites at The Zon Hotel.

  Rooms will be sold on first come first served basis and when sold out, it will be reflected on MOS.

  UPDATE 15: Competitors Travelling with Firearms and Ammunition.

  Malaysia law also requires that all firearms and ammunition MUST travel together. Competitors may not enter Malaysia with ammunition only; this ammunition will be detained by the Airport Police.

  Should any competitor or persons try to enter Malaysia for the match with a firearm that is not listed on the permits; these firearms will be detained by the Airport Police.

  Airport Security has a USD30 per day detention charge for each of the above stated items.

  UPDATE 14: Important Announcement

  1: Official Match Ammunition - Updated below also posted on Global Village.

  2: Hotel Reservations: All Competitors whom wish to compete in AustralAsia 2010, MUST give full and complete details of Hotel required, check in / out dates, Twin / King

  Some competitors are travelling with families, so may require a 2 bedroom Suite. At present only the Grand Paragon has a limited number of these suites for release to the organisers. This will consist of 1 room with King Bed and 1 room with Twin Beds and a living room.

  Should you require any special arrangements PLEASE, contact the organisers first before making online bookings as there maybe extra charges involved, or we cant meet your original request, we will try to find an alternative solution and advise of any extra cost to avoid any miss understanding.

  The organisers have tried to keep the hotel bookings simple and have offered on KING / TWIN sharing basis.

  3: Flight Details: ALL competitors must give flight details, whether you are travelling with firearms or not. If you don't give flight details how can the organisers arrange transport from Airport to Hotel in Johor Bahru.

  Some competitors have stated they are not traveling with firearms in emails to the or are travelling to Singapore and then asking for directions to the hotels in Malaysia. If we don't know we cant help very plain and simple.

  We thank you for your co-operation in giving full details.

  UPDATE 13: Official Match Ammunition

  Only Competitors who have purchased 500 rounds of OMA from the Organisers online, and who use OMA exclusively for the match, are entitled to the Rule 5.8.1. chrono exemption. Such competitors must report to chrono with the original OMA receipt, in order to sign the chrono declaration, where the OMA will be deemed Major or Minor, according to the competitor's division.

  Competitors using their own ammunition alone, or in combination with OMA, will be subject to chrono as per normal procedures.

  UPDATE 12: Ammunition, Hotel and Match Shirt Orders

  Official Match Ammunition: Please order all Official Match Ammunition (OMA) online with MOS. When you register for the Match, agree with the terms and condition and click on Send. You are than taken to a new section Articles (Shop) where you can order Ammunition, Hotels and 1 free Match Shirt per person.

  If you wish to purchase OMA, please do it in this section, don't email the Organisers and make bookings. We are using MOS to track orders and cost. If you wish to purchase 600 rounds of 9mm, in the qty box just put 6 not 600. The system will count 6 to mean 600rounds.

  Official Hotels: Also in the Articles (Shop) section for OMA orders you can book from a choice of 2 Hotels. When booking please state clearly Check In/Out dates and number of Nights, and whether Twin/King beds.

  Should you have special arrangements, like travelling with children or need extra beds in a room, please make this known in comments, we will follow upon this and let you know if there is a cost for extra beds per night.

  Match Shirts: Every competitor registered for the Match, will receive 1 FREE shirt. So please in the QTY box, only put 1 all other numbers will be rejected.

  We will put up soon, a new section in Articles (Shop), for pre-orders if you require more than 1 shirt. Please also note in the Main Match Information, there is a download for Shirt Sizes, please read this before ordering

  UPDATE 11: New Payment Information -2

  The Match Organizes with much regret have no choice but to increase bank charges to USD$60.00, as it seems intermediary banks processing the transactions are in some cases charging up to USD35.00 per transaction, which is being deducted directly from the amount owed to the Organizes, for Match Fees, purchases of Ammunition and Hotel Bookings.

  However, the Match Organisers will refund the difference to the competitors at the match if they have overpaid. We will notify you of any refund beforehand.

  We sincerely appreciate your understanding in this matter.

  This change is now reflected in the Payment Details

  UPDATE 10: New Payment Information

  There still seems to be some small problems with competitors making payments and some hidden bank charges from the recipients banks. Due to this anomaly, we have had to increase the remittance fee from USD$20.00 to USD$30.00.

  As a suggestion, we would advise competitors to if possible, consolidate payments to save on the bank charges and follow the instructions outlined clearly in the Payment Details, where we are sent a scanned copy of the remittance advice as well as breakdown of what that remittance covers, Match Fees, Hotel and Ammunition and whom the payments are for.

  UPDATE 9: Payment Details Updated

  Some competitors have been experiencing problems while making payments for AustralAsia 2010 where some banking institutions also require the address of the beneficiary, Dynamic Shooting Association (Singapore).

  UPDATE 8: Match Registration Page Updated.

  Match Registration page has been updated to show how to register for the Match, and the information required from the intended competitor for the AustralAsia 2010 IPSC Level IV Handgun Championship

  Please read the page carefully and follow the instructions given in the screenshots. If you should have any problems don't hesitate to contact us.

  UPDATE 7: Layover in Kuala Lumpur due to Flight Connections

  We have received some enquiries regarding what is the procedure for a forced layover in Kuala Lumpur, due to late arrival of flight and having to get connecting flight to Johor the following day.

  The situation in question is not considered breaking a journey (therefore don’t follow the procedure for breaking journey). Reason; the transit / connecting flight is <24hrs and the fact that the shooters were allowed to check through to Senai International Airport Johor.

  Once your luggage is checked through to Johor, you will not `see’ their guns or luggage until you reach JHB even though the shooters spent a night in Kuala Lumpur by MAS. Their checked in guns & luggage will be handled by the Airline (+ Airport Security) – temporary kept at Airport armory. No charge for storage (considered still in transit).

  Our recommendation is that in this instance, it would be advisable is to pack a change of clothes and carry on as hand luggage.

  UPDATE 6: Registration Opens 05/03/2010

  Official Registration Opens 05/03/2010. You can only register for the Match, if you have already registered with MOS. If you haven't registered with MOS, please do so and follow the instructions here. Register to MOS

  During the registration process, besides entering all the Match details required, you will also be able to order ammunition, hotel and match shirt size. Please enter all information correctly. At the end of the registration process it will show that you are registered, BUT you will only be put on the Waiting List, until payment full has been received. Once payment has been received you will then be confirmed for the match.

  UPDATE 3: Australian Competitors

  For those Australian competitors whom are contemplating staying over in either Malaysia and Singapore after the match.

  I asked Gareth Graham RD, check with Australian Customs to see if it was possible for other members to bring your guns back, this is entirely possible, his reply to me is below.

  "Have spoken with Customs and they say it can be done but the persons wishing to take this path they should contact Shaun Bradford , for more information. The scenario would be a firearm returning to Australia with someone other then the registered owner would be kept with Customs until the owner with the appropriate B709D form came to claim it. It is recommended that they notify Customs of their intention of this this before they leave".

  UPDATE 2: Out of Zone Slot Allocation

  For those competitors from outside the AustralAsia Zone, whom do wish to compete in AA2010, please contact your RD and get them to request slots for yourself. Please send your requests to Out of Zone Slot Allocation Email Here.

  Each Out of Zone Slot Allocation requested requires a non-refundable USD$50.00 deposit.

  UPDATE 1: Request for Extra Slots

  Each extra slot requested requires a non-refundable USD$50.00 deposit, if the Organising Committee is unable to meet your full request  for extra slots the balance will be refunded on a case by base basis.
